An Important Reminder
TAKE A DEEP BREATH & READ THAT AGAIN.
.
A simple reminder, we all NEED in our lives, not just today but EVERYDAY. At least I know I do! Growing up my mom reminded me of this often. It’s like she could see the ANXIETY behind my eyes and the OVERWHELMING THOUGHTS building up in my head (which I believe to be one of her many superpowers). When she saw this growing in me she would kindly touch my arm and tell me “Jess remember Rome wasn’t built in day.”
.
For me this was/is not only a reminder that I in fact DID NOT have to get EVERYTHING done in less than the twenty four hours I have in a day like I thought. But a reminder that GOOD THINGS TAKE TIME. I know FOR A FACT that this EXACT reminder was just what I needed today because it’s come up MULTIPLE TIMES IN THE LAST FEW HOURS ALONE.
.
First in the way I’ve been feeling burnt out and mentally drained as the work day has gone on and second @anniemiller.co and I this EXACT conversation and how it affects the ENTREPRENEURIAL WORLD.
> Feeling like EVERYTHING needs to be created and set up
> Struggling with PRIORITIZATION
> Trying to not take on TOO MANY tasks at once
*BUT I feel like I need to do them all to become a good business owner 🙃
Annie’s advice to me: Choose to FOCUS on what affects your business the MOST. This includes the things that are either 1) time sensitive or 2) If completed, this ONE thing can then open doors or LEAD to ANOTHER thing getting COMPLETED.
.
These principle can also be applied to MANY AREAS such as strength training, nutrition, habit formation, sleep, journaling etc. So no matter what your goals, remember with just a LITTLE REMINDER and a lot of HARD WORK you CAN make it happen.
